En esta asignatura se pretende brindar a los estudiantes aquellos contenidos generales en relación con las matemáticas discretas, de modo que estén en capacidad de aplicar lo aprendido sobre lógica proposicional, teoría de conjuntos, principios básicos de conteo, probabilidad, funciones (inyectiva, sobreyectiva, biyectiva e inversa) y relaciones binarias en la resolución de problemas.
